Eterra CM-40 Backup Camera for Skid Steers, Tractors, and Compact Equipment The Eterra CM-40 is a wired backup camera system for skid steers, tractors, excavators, UTVs, and other compact equipment that need a clear rear view during work. The camera mounts to the machine and sends a live feed to a 7-inch color monitor in the cab. The kit is built for worksite use, with a heated camera, waterproof heavy cast aluminum camera housing, sealed locking cable connections, and a water- and impact-resistant monitor enclosure. Unlike automotive backup cameras, the CM-40 is designed to stay on while the machine is operating. Mounting and Add-On Options The standard CM-40 kit includes a regular mounting bracket. For compatible roll-up-door cab installations, we also offer the CM-40 Kubota/Takeuchi mounting bracket, sold separately. For longer monitor-to-camera runs, add the CM-40 15-foot video extension cable. For another viewing angle, add the additional CM-40 backup camera. Key Features - 7-inch TFT color monitor in a water- and impact-resistant housing. - Two-channel capability with manual or auto-switching. - Heated camera in a heavy cast aluminum waterproof housing. - CCD camera with 420 TVL resolution, infrared lighting, audio, and a 150-degree viewing angle. - 5-meter camera-to-monitor extension cable included with the kit. - Magnetic camera mount with neodymium magnets that will not leave rust marks on the machine. - Night-vision support for low-light work areas. - Wired camera connection with filter to reduce signal interference compared with wireless camera systems. - Robust aluminum U-shaped mounting system and heavy cabling with sealed locking connectors. Mounting note: The monitor is heavier than small automotive-style displays. Overhead mounting should only be used when it can be bolted to a steel surface. Built for Equipment Use Automotive backup cameras are usually designed for short reverse-only use. The CM-40 is built for compact equipment operators who want a camera view available throughout the workday, with a wired connection and rugged housings/cabling for vibration, weather, and daily machine use.
